Six Months Old
Happy Half Birthday Kate and Grayson! It is hard to believe they have been apart of our family for 6 months. Most days it seems like they’ve been with us forever. At their 6 month check up Kate weighed 17lbs 4oz and is 25.67in long. Grayson weighed 16lbs .3oz and is 25.59in long. Both got their 3rd round of shots. Grayson again seemed to handle them well and Kate again got a fever. This time it only lasted about 12 hours.
Their 6th month was a busy month in many ways. The twins and I celebrated the 4th of July in Coulee while Tim had to work. We watched the fireworks on TV and out the window from the park. We started eating rice cereal in the evenings before bath.
The Krober family all gathered in Wenatchee for a weekend. Kate and Grayson got to meet Uncle Chad, Aunt Megan and cousins Ava, Brennan and Lucia. They also got to see Aunt Becca, cousins Sophia and Elise and Oma and Papa. While in Wenatchee we stayed in a hotel and the twins did great! I’m positive the neighbors didn’t even know there were babies in our room.
Thanks to my Mom, Tim and I were able to get away for a day. We went to Seattle for a Mariner’s game. It poured rain and the Mariner’s lost but we still had a nice time.
We got to celebrate cousin Landon’s 1st Birthday and his dedication. We had a nice weekend with friends and family. My sister in law, Val’s, family came from Oklahoma and Nebraska to take in the festivities. It was nice to see them again.
Kate is sleeping pretty much the same as last month except many nights she is asleep by 7:30pm and has started waking up closer to 6:30am. Thankfully Tim doesn’t mind getting up with our early risers while I sleep a little longer ☺ The night of July 27th was a big night…she went to sleep at 7:30 and didn’t wake up until 6:30am! She officially slept through the night. That last night feeding is being fazed out!!!!!!! The feeding schedule has shifted by an hour. She is eating 6-7 oz at 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm with rice cereal at 6pm. Kate is trying really hard to sit up. She is our talker and talks even if no one is listening. Her legs are always in the air and she has discovered her toes are fun to chew on. She has also really started to notice our dog Addy. Her favorite toys are the activity bouncer, play mat, bee teething toy, stuffed monkey and a couple books that squeak. Her personality is really starting to show ☺
Grayson is sleeping pretty much the same as last month except many nights he is asleep by 7:30pm and has started waking up closer to 6:30am. Thankfully Tim doesn’t mind getting up with our early risers while I sleep a little longer ☺ He was still sleeping in the sleeper but was starting to get uncomfortable so on July 22nd we moved him to the crib. He had a harder transition than Kate. He would roll over and wake himself up. We had a few rough nights but overall I can’t complain. The night of July 27th was a big night…he went to sleep at 7:30 and didn’t wake up until 6:30am! He officially slept through the night. That last night feeding is being fazed out!!!!!!! The feeding schedule has shifted by an hour. He is eating 6-7 oz at 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm with rice cereal at 6pm. Grayson rolled over this month and is now unstoppable! He rolls allover the place! He is our happy boy who giggles and talks all the time. He loves any toy that makes noise, the activity bouncer and books. Grayson is beginning to pick up toys and move them between hands. It won’t be long and he’ll be crawling allover the place.
I have LOVED watching them develop and learn new things this month. It has been one of the easier months as far as taking care of them. We have had a few rough days but I think we’re all getting the hang of it!

Five Months Old
No doctors visit at 5 months so I don’t know what Kate and
Grayson weigh and we forgot to weigh them at home J I know they are gaining
weight because both are heavy to carry... especially in their car seat.
Here's what we were up to last month...
We pretty much stayed home during the month of June with a
few day trips to Coulee here and there. It was fun to celebrate Tim’s first
Father’s Day. I found onsies that said “Happy First Father’s Day Daddy” so got
a pink and blue one. I also decided to take imprints of Kate & Grayson’s
hands and feet in clay to give to Tim. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it was
going to be and turned out cute.
Kate still has the 1 feeding at night. She has decided to go
to bed earlier this month. She goes to sleep at 8pm and sleeps until 3-4, eats
and then back to sleep until 7:00-7:30am. Up until this month she has been
sleeping at night in the sleeper. Well, one night she tried to roll onto her
side in the sleeper so that was the last night of the sleeper. She started
sleeping in her crib and has done very well. She must be going through a phase
with naps where she doesn’t want to take them J
We’re lucky if she gets 2 naps and those naps are anywhere from 30 min to 2 ½
hours. Each day is unpredictable. We have gotten on a schedule with our feedings
so at least those are predictable. She is eating 5-6oz and 4am, 8am, 12pm, 4pm
and 7:30pm. It is nice to have those scheduled. It took 4 months but we’re
getting there. Kate loves to talk and is beginning to grab the toys hanging
above her on the play mat. She has found her feet and toes and loves them! She
has started to giggle and it is sooooo cute. She loves to sit up and see what
is going on in the world, she loves looking at colorful books, tummy time is
getting easier and she loves to lay outside in the evenings. She giggles at the
song “All Around the Mullberry bush” so we sing it lots. Kate still doesn’t
like when we leave the room, she fights going to sleep for naps and car rides
are not fun with her. I got out an activity bouncer and the bumbo. She isn’t
fond of the bumbo but the activity bouncer is interesting to her but she
doesn’t quite understand what she is supposed to do.
Grayson still has the 1 feeding at night. He has decided to
go to bed earlier as well. He goes to sleep at 8pm and sleeps until 3-4,
eats and then back to sleep until 7:00-7:30am. He is still sleeping in the
sleeper at night and doing great. His naps have pretty much stayed the same
except he fights going to sleep. I hope he grows out if this soon. We have
gotten on a schedule with our feedings so at least those are predictable. He is
eating 4-5oz at 4am and 6oz at 8am, 12pm, 4pm and 7:30pm. It is nice to have
those scheduled. He loves to talk and bat at objects hanging above him on the
play mat. He has developed a new sound, which is hard to describe, but we have
started calling him Evanrude from “The Rescuers Down Under”. The sound is cute.
He loves to look at colorful books, play with any toy that makes a sound, talks
all the time and also enjoys laying outside in the evenings. Grayson is
beginning to roll from side to side, bat at objects and giggle on command.

Four Months Old
It doesn’t seem possible that it’s been 4 months. The twins are growing up so fast and becoming babies rather than newborns. At their 4 month check up Kate weighed 13lbs 14.9oz and was 23.7in long. Grayson weighed 13lbs 15.2oz and was 23.62in long. Both are growing like weeds! Both had their second round of shots. Grayson didn’t seem fazed but Kate developed a low-grade fever for about 36 hours.
Here's what we've been up to the last month...
On Mother’s Day we had the twins dedicated. It was a special time for us as we promised to raise Kate and Grayson in a Christ centered home and we were able to again thank the Lord for these two blessings. It was fun having lots of family here to celebrate. We went to Aunt Judy and Uncle Ivan’s house after church for lunch. I also had a nice first Mother's Day...my gift was Chocolate Covered Strawberries and a dozen roses.
I had my first night away from the twins on May 16th. My mom along with my sister-in-law Val went to the Beth Moore conference in Spokane. Thanks to Oma and Papa (Tim’s parents) for coming and helping Tim take care of the twins overnight.
For Memorial Day the twins and I traveled to Coulee City to attend all the festivities. On Saturday we got up and walked the Cow Pie Jog J We all survived and finished the 5K in under an hour!!! We also went and watched the parade…well I watched the parade while the twins slept. We decided not to try going to the rodeo. We’ll leave that to next year.
Kate has dropped all but 1 night feeding. So she goes to sleep about 8:45pm-3-4am, eats and back to sleep until around 7:30am. During the day she is taking 2-3 naps and each are 1 ½ to 2 hours long. She is eating 5 oz every 3-4 hours during the day. She is doing lots of coos and screeches. She loves waving her hands and lifting her legs. She loves the play mat, bath time and being with Mommy ALL DAY long. She doesn’t like tummy time, being put down or burping during feedings….she screams. Kate is getting better at holding her head steady, she rolls from side to side and she is beginning to bear weight on her legs.
Grayson has also dropped all but 1 night feeding. He goes to sleep about 8:45pm – 3-4am, eats and back to sleep until around 7:30am. During the day he takes 2-3 naps for about 1 ½ to 2 hours long. Most days the naps are at the same time as Kate but some days he is completely opposite. Those days are longs days for me! He is eating 5-6 oz every 4 hours during the day. He loves to coo, giggle and smile at everyone. He is a mover so his legs and arms are always in motion. He also loves the play mat especially the blue elephant hanging on it and bathtime. He loves “The Wheels on the Bus” and finds the motions very funny. Grayson doesn’t like burping during feedings and some days tummy time is a challenge.
Over all Kate and Grayson are a joy to have around and I love watching their personalities develop.

Three Months Old
There isn’t a doctors visit at 3 months so we weighed the
twins at home, Kate weighed 12lbs and Grayson weighed 11lbs 6oz
Here is what we've been up to the last month...
We traveled to Coulee for Easter (Apr. 20th) and
Grammie spoiled the twins with Easter baskets (there was stuff for Mommy and
Daddy too). On Sun. Apr. 27th we went to Wenatchee for church and to
visit Tim’s parents (Oma & Papa). We
left Kate and Grayson with Oma & Papa that afternoon so we could go out for
lunch and do a little shopping. The last trip this month was to my school
Larson Heights Elementary. The staff and students were all dying to meet the
twins. It was fun “showing” them off.
This month Kate is sleeping for 5-6 hours at night and
during the day napping every 1 ½ to 2 hours for 1 ½ to 2 hours. At the end of
April we transitioned to the crib for naps. Kate is eating every 3 hours during
the day and at night goes about 5 hours. At each feeding she is eating 4oz. She
is ‘cooing’ a lot, screeches at the top of her lungs, waves her hands and kicks
her feet. She is a really good sleeper, her smiles are to die for and she is
very social with everyone. Her favorite toys right now are the swing and play
mat. She is starting to hold her head up for longer periods, push with her legs
and roll from side to side.
This month Grayson is sleeping for 6+ hours at night and
during the day his sleeping has been terrible. He doesn’t want to sleep in the
swing or the crib. He will however sleep if someone is holding him. At the end
of April, out of frustration, I put Grayson in the crib on his tummy…he slept
for 2 ½ hours. I guess Grayson is a tummy sleeper J Grayson is eating every 3
hours during the day and at night 6 hours. At each feeding he is eating 4oz. He
is starting to ‘coo’, screeches, waves his hands and kicks his feet. He has a
cute little giggle that is developing. When he is upset he likes to grab... I have
marks to prove it! His favorite toy right now is the blue elephant on the play
mat. He talks to it all the time.

Two Months Old
Tim took 2 weeks off to be home to help out and spend time
with Kate and Grayson. It was a busy month for the twins. March 9th
was our first outing to church. Both slept through the service. On March 14th
Aunt Rebecca (Tim’s sister) and cousins Sophia and Elise came for a visit. They
are home visiting from China. Rebecca stayed with us for a few days to help out
and love on Kate and Grayson. It was great to have them here. On Friday, March
21st Kate and Grayson had their first trip to Grammies (my mom) house and
stayed the weekend.
Kate is sleeping for 2-3 hours at a time. By the end of
March she is sleeping for 4-5 hours at night. She eats 3-4oz every 3 hours
except at night is starting to go longer. The sleeper has been working great at
night and during the day most naps are in the swing. Most of the day is spent
sleeping but we’re working on staying awake for longer stretches. She really
likes the swing. She also has the hiccups a lot J
Kate is beginning to ‘coo’ and make eye contact when you talk to her. She had
her first smile on command on March 30th J
Grayson is sleeping for 3-4 hours at a time and eating 3-4
oz every 3 hours except at night. Grayson is a great sleeper at night and will sleep 4+ hours. The sleeper has been working great at night and during the day he
will nap for a short time in the swing otherwise I hold him so he gets a nap.
He is a great sleeper at night but struggles with napping during the day.
Grayson is beginning to ‘coo’, does lots of grunts and groans and also has the
hiccups often. He is learning to stay awake for longer periods of time and
beginning to make eye contact when you talk to him.
Here are some pictures from the last month.
